It's here ...
(Finally).
Which is not intended as a snarky comment. Stuff from the US to the UK takes longer, I know that.
It's just that the email kinda made out that the package would be addressed to my email account, sent to my work (building) address. And I was stressing about that - because it's embarrassing enough sometimes when I go to collect the multitude of boxes and envelopes which make up my personal purchases, from the postroom. Having to pre-warn the guys to be on the look out for a package addressed to "CatsEye" and then let me know, would have been too much. They already think I'm strange.
But in the end, I worried over nothing. (I do that sometimes. I blame my mother). I have to say I wasn't quite as excited as some members of the club to receive my stuff. Maybe that's because I've known for the last ten days what the colourway was and how clever the pattern is (reversible, don't ya know), and that some people have already finished their socks (was this a race? Is there a prize ...?!).
Maybe I'm just not that excitable. Plus I've had nine months of Posh Sock Club (with no spoilers) to get used to the concept. I'm also not that fussed to cast on right away. I have, you may notice from the photo, reskeined the STR and then put it aside. Mine is (thankfully) not as purple as others have made out. It's a nice mix of green and brown and grey. And I'm sure it's going to be lovely to knit with and to wear.
(But ... I think I prefer my Posh Lucia ... cashmere and merino trumps merino every time. Oh, please don't tell on me, they might drum me out of the club!)
